Here is a photo of our Yorkshire Semester group in the Quad on campus. After our first couple of weeks here we are finally getting well acquainted with our new classes.

We were lucky enough, due to nice weather, to spend our first Marketing class in a tea garden bordering the Roman wall which surrounds the city of York. For both our Marketing class and Management seminar, we meet once a week for 3 hours. The structure is similar to a typical Hope course, we have the same amount of reading and writing assignments due every week along with a quiz before class. Our workload each week is larger than a typical semester because the length of our semester here is shorter.

For the classes with York St. John the structure is much different than a class at Hope. For example, our Travel and Tourism Marketing class, we only have two assignments which account for our grade. They are both due toward the end of the semester. Homework is expected to be done on your own outside of class but not accounted for until assignments are turned in. We meet twice a week, for one lecture and one seminar. Looking at the module selection, most course grades are based on one essay and an exam. Similar to Hope College, they use moodle to showcase syllabi, power point presentations, and assignment rubrics.
